With the exception of the Loan Library and in some cases, the Computer Arts Summer Camp, membership is not required to access V-LINC’s services. However, a Membership entitles you to a variety of benefits that will help you advance your individual goals. These include:
- Discounted fees for our Assistive Technology for Computer Access Services
- Access to our Loan Library
- Open Lab Hours for you or your child to come to our offices and explore hardware, adaptive equipment and software. Macintosh and Windows computers are available during these hours. (Open Lab time must be scheduled in advance. Call to make an appointment)
- Our quarterly newsletter that includes news, resources and tips for clients.
Several membership options are available:
Individuals and Families :: Membership services for an individual with a disability or condition which makes computer access, daily living or learning educational subjects difficult, either permanent or temporary. $100 per year. Membership services for a family of up to 3 individuals with disabilities or conditions which makes computer access, daily living or learning educational subjects difficult, either permanent or temporary. All persons must be in immediate family: Mother, Father, Son(s), Daughter(s), Grandparents. $200 per year. Assistance with Membership [Complete Request Online] [Download Form] Membership and service fees assist us in maintaining and improving our computer lab, loan library and membership services. We understand that not everyone has the resources to afford these fees and make every effort to accommodate your financial needs. Financial assistance with membership and service fees are available on a limited basis and dependent upon outside funding sources. Financial assistance, if granted, is valid one time or for one year of membership and would need to be requested at the time of application, renewal or request for additional services. |||| Service Providers and Organizations:: With an individual professional membership, the following services would be available: Consultation about your clients with one of our Assistive Technology Specialists*, Loan Library, and Open Lab Hours. $125 per year If you would like to sub-lend software and equipment from our loan library to your clients, the membership fee would be $250 per year. *Direct consultations with your clients would be $25 per client. Your organization can acquire blocks of memberships at a discount rate. Contact us for more information and for a customized quote. You may also pay for individual memberships for your clients or setup a fee-for-service agreement with us. Note: If you require an assessment of technology/assistive technology needs with detailed reporting and vendor information, memberships are not appropriate. For this level of detail, you should consider our fee-for-service options.
